Day Hike to Nagi Gumba

Pic: People we met cycling around.
I was on the bike before we started the real journey for a day hike to this beautiful place. As we all were not fit in two bikes we have got, so we decided to keep our Motor Bike at one my dear friend. Getting ready for girls takes more time, its universal fact, when we were at her house they were just waiting us and once we get there they got ready after their food. They were beautiful when they got ready to go out for our so called Hike.

Taking a Bus for about an hour we reached to a unique and amazing place inside the kathmandu. I have never thought of that road in kathmandu valley itself, the uphills and the off road was really stunning adventurous. People inside the bus were like my villagers, dirty, poor, loving, caring and happy with charm on their face.

As we got off the bus our real hike started there. Hike for the day to the top from where we were starting our day. Walking uphill need energy, for that we bought something to eat on our way, buying common things in the local market made me to feel like buying local things. Then our team moved up and up.

From the beginning of the hike of that uphill through a local village, it started raining. We did have rain coats and some of them were with spare rain coats, that was nice. We started walking in the rain, in the hot season of spring, we enjoyed the rain till it got all messy. Uphill trail was slippery, narrow trail with lots of vegetation was annoying.

Fun started when some of our girls started screaming with leech, leech is a blood sucking, small insect/animal. It sticks on the skin and do not fall until it gets full tummy. One of friend was screaming like she was in hell, i picked it and threw it away before she celled herself calm. Thought the bushes with lots of leech we kept on walking. Stooped at around the top of the hill for a sip of tea, by then the rain was converted into the drizzle. The cloudy valley of Kathmadu was nicer and haze was really beautifying the scenery of Kathmandu valley.

One and only international airport was clearly visible from the distance, sometimes plane would come and fly out of the airport, was nice to see. We continued hiking all the way to the top, the top was even nicer. We went inside the monastery at the top of the hill, chatting with some monks was nicer than expected. Some foreign nun were meditating and staying there for longer than i was expecting. She was there for two years at the same place, that added more charm for the hike we did.

After spending an hour or so we hiked into the jungle to get to the bus station to get out to home. From bus station near to Shivapuri National park we took bus back to home.
